I looked around and did not see any topics about concerts so I thought I would make one.

Anyway, what are some recent concerts that you guys have been to, and the best/worst concerts you have seen?

Also, who is an artist that you would like to see perform live one day.

As for me I have seen:

Muse, Silversun Pickups, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D. (I'm really not that into rap but my friend got me the ticket), Jimmy Eat World, Paramore, Aerosmith, Stellar Road.

My favorite of these concerts had to be Muse. They were beyond epic and the stage was amazing.

I'm hoping to see Say Anything and Angels & Airwaves in April.

This is a fairly extensive, though not quite exhaustive I don't think, list of musicians I've seen live:

Even in Blackouts, Van Morrison, The Futureheads, Snow Patrol, Muse, Interpol, Scissor Sisters, The Bravery, The Pigeon Detectives, Calvin Harris, Arcade Fire, Bright Eyes, Rufus Wainwright, Daft Punk, the National, Battles, MSTRKRFT, UNKLE, Mogwai, The Flaming Lips, Oppenheimer, The Japanese Popstars, Seasick Steve, British Sea Power, Echo & the Bunnymen, Pendulum, R.E.M., the Prodigy, the Stranglers, MGMT, Alabama 3, The Raconteurs, Kaiser Chiefs, Rage Against the Machine, The Chemical Brothers, M83, of Montreal, Boys Noize, Deadmau5, 2 Many DJs, The Tallest Man on Earth, Two Gallants, The Jane Bradfords, HEALTH, Villains, Massive Attack, Martina Topley-Bird, Handsome Furs, Thomas Dybdahl, The Antlers, James Vincent McMorrow, Horse Feathers, The xx, Yeasayer, Ellie Goulding, Passion Pit.

Think my favourite of all is probably the second time I got to see the National at Oxegen 2008 but I've seen lots of good performances. R.E.M. were amazing too. Flaming Lips, also great.

Upcoming, I've got Wild Beasts, Laura Marling, Daniel Johnston, maybe Mystery Jets, probably Surfer Blood, Pavement and potentially Wolf Parade after that too.

Who I would like to see is usually people I've missed through my ignorance, so Bloc Party, Justice and Digitalism are major regrets. Vampire Weekend and Fleet Foxes, I'd love to see both them. Brian Wilson too as it's as close to the Beach Boys as I'll ever get now. In that same vein, I'd love to see Paul Simon and Bob Dylan, had the opportunity to see Dylan a few years ago and didn't take it. Springsteen too. The band I would most love to see live though, it's not even a contest, would be Joy Division, but that's never going to happen =(

Are The xx actually any good live? 'Cause idk their music doesn't really excite me at all although I have the feeling it becomes a lot better when performed live. Also very awesome to see you're going to a Daniel Johnston concert mossymossymossy! :D

It's already March and already there've been quite a good couple of very memorable concerts passed by here, such as Panda Bear (yep pretty much as good as an Animal Collective performance!), Saxon Shore, Reel Big Fish (after all these years I still can't get tired of them ^^), Ulver (fucking epic) and Beach House. <3

Later this eve finally going to check out The Album Leaf. <33

I loved The xx gig, Trent, probably my second favourite of 2009. Though, I also loved their album so I'm sure to be a bit more susceptible to them than you ;(

But yeah, really looking forward to Daniel Johnston and Beach House, excellenttttt.

Being in college in DC, I had some instances where my friend would drag me to concerts because his friends had last minute plans. I mostly went to areas like the 9:30 club, Patriot Center, Black Cat(?), Merriweather Post Pavillion, and this other one I forgot what it was called, but these are the only concerts I remember the bad names.

- The Offspring
- Vanilla Ice
- Crystal Method

And in Philadelphia, PA...
- Play! A Video Game Symphony

I must live a REALLY sheltered life, so I'm almost embarrassed to post here.. lol.. almost.
I've been to see:

Fleetwood Mac; Stevie Nicks solo (twice); Heart; Shania Twain (free; The Australian Pink Floyd (surprisingly good!); Olivia Newton-John; Angele Dubeau & La Pieta (all-female chamber group... absolutely awesome talent) (twice)

And yeah I think that's it... sad, huh?

But I'd love to see Porcupine Tree live one day.... Gavin Harrison (drummer) is a definite draw for me. Rush would be awesome too.

They're kicking off a tour with Bigelf in May. You should look into it.

Shad, that's a massively impressive list. :D I'm jealous of two things, one, that I find it very hard to compile an accurate list like that for my own 'cause of not remembering every single performance (mainly 'cause of festivals I THINK), and two, these bands in particular I'd still love to see live yes:

Fear Before the March of Flames
Mouth of the Architect
Some Girls
Virgin Black
World's End Girlfriend

You're a lucky bastard tooo :jealous: Anamanaguchi barely ever reach Europe. P: Ahwell, awesome to see other bands and artists in your list that I've seen live as well:

Dropkick Murphys, Bright Eyes, Flogging Molly, Mastodon, This Will Destroy, 65daysofstatic, Air, Baroness, Blood Brothers, Camera Obscura, CKY, Converge, Counting Crows, Enslaved, Every Time I Die, Explosions in the Sky, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Misery Signals, Norma Jean, Placebo, Radiohead, Sabrepulse, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, Sunn O))), Terror, The Album Leaf, The Datsuns, The Mars Volta, The Rapture, Tiger Army

I like listings. :-*

Arch Enemy
Black Dahlia Murder
Black Sabbath ('06 Reunion)
Cannibal Corpse
Cattle Decapitation
Children of Bodom
Dying Fetus
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Lamb of God
Machine Head
Malevolent Creation
Morbid Angel
Napalm Death
Pig Destroyer
Rob Zombie

Now all I need to see is Meshuggah, Motorhead, Aborted, Brutal Truth, Insect Warfare, Heathen, Exhorder, Obituary, and Rush and I'll have seen the only bands that need to be seen.

Oh yea and I also saw this Beatles tribute band 2 weeks ago called American English. They were crazy good and sounded/looked just like The Beatles.
